

OUR PRACTICE
Dr. Janet Kohtz O.D.
Dr. Kohtz attended UCLA and is a graduate of the Los Angeles College of Optometry with a Bachelor of Science and a Doctorate of Optometry. She is an assistant Clinical Professor at Western University College of Optometry, a member of the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association and a fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. Dr. Kohtz is also a member of the Optometric Extension Program and the American Optometric Association as well as the California Optometric Association.
She is a life member of the Alumni Associaton of the Southern California College of Optometry, and was on the Board of the National Society for Vision and Perception Training. She has received certificates of appreciation from the Western University College of Optometry, the College of Optometry in Vision Development, the Optometric Extension Program and the Southern California Vision Therapy Forum, as well as Parents Active for Vision Education.
She is a participating Doctor of Optometry in Vision USA.
Dr. Janet Kohtz focuses her practice on children with vision related learning problems and adults and children who have vision problems related to traumatic brain injury or neuro degenarative diseases.

Dr. April Spurling O.D.
Dr. April Spurling focuses her practice on Neuro Optometric Rehabilitation. She works with patients who have experienced visual changes following a neurological event such as a stroke, cerebral vascular accident, traumatic brain injury, MS and Parkinson’s disease among others. She also works with children
and adults who have vision related learning difficulties and strabismus.
Dr. Spurling is a graduate of Western University College of Optometry. She completed a fellowship in Neuro Optometric Rehabilitation at the Padula Institute of Vision Rehabilitation under Dr. William Padula. She is the recipient of the Padula Institute of Vision Rehabilitation Award and the OEP clinical
curriculum award.

Ana is fluent in 3 different languages: English, Spanish & French. She earned a degree from a business school in Mexico. She and her husband ran their business for 10 years before coming to work for our practice. She and her husband currently own their own business in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Co-Office Manager

Norma's background has always been in the legal field. She is fluent in both English & Spanish. She appreciates working with personal injury patients who need optometric care.
DIMITRI
SERRANO
Vision Therapist/Office Associate

Dimitri has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from The University of California Riverside. He has very successfully been coaching and doing committed player development for soccer teams in his free time for the past 8 years. He is one of the vision therapists for our practice and loves being part of the progress with people who have learning problems and adults who suffered from a stroke.

Bryan is currently attending La Sierra University, working towards his Bachelor's Degree in nursing. He is fluent in both English & Vietnamese. He has a strong work background in computers and electronics.

Office Associate

Ariana worked for the Riverside Unified School District as a tutor for students with problems in Bio-Chemistry, Calculus & Physics for 2 years prior to joining our practice. She is currently majoring in bio-chemical engineering at The University of California Riverside and will be pursing her Master's Degree prior to graduating in 2016. Ariana came to the US when she was 13 years old and is fluent in both English & Spanish.
ALEJANDRO
GRANDE DIAZ
Office Associate

Alejandro is currently majoring in English at Riverside Community College and will soon be transfering to The University of California Riverside to pursue his Bachelor's Degree in Writing. He is fluent in English & Spanish and in his free time serves as a tutor for writing students at RCC.
